Founder & Principal

Harmony-Jayne O'Quinn (PRINCIPAL) M.B.A.T.D & L.I.D.T.A
Harmony started dancing at the tender age of two at her mums dance school in Scotland. She trained in Tap, Modern, Ballet, Streetdance, Disco, Jazz, Majorettes, Cheerleading, Rock n Roll, Country and Western, drama and singing. At 16 Harmony gained a scholarship to attend M.A.D.D Performing Arts School on a 3 year Musical Theatre / Dance Diploma course. By the time she graduated she was already a fully qualified teacher with the B.A.T.D. (The British Association of Teachers of Dancing). Harmony is also a qualified teacher with the I.D.T.A (International Dance Teachers Association)


Harmony then worked extensively on cruise ships, danced in Malaga, Spain and she was one of the Lorraine O'Leary dancers performing throughout the UK, Over the years Harmony performed in many pantomimes in Birmingham, she played Morag in the hit Midlands show 'Back to Back' and travelled as one of the dancers / vocalists for the state 51. She also spent 2 seasons at Wicksteed Park as a residential dancer / Entertainer. Television and film credits include Peak Practice, Crossroads, Eye TV, Soul Music, Macorns Scottish Popcorn, Nickelodeon TV and Asylum. She has also taught at dance and stage schools throughout the country and Choreographed many shows.


Following an injury Harmony decided that she wanted to pass on her talent and experiences to children who will be stars in the future. She is a really passionate teacher who cares for each and every student. No matter if you're dancing for fun or looking for a career in the business, Harmony will train you to the best of your ability. Look forward to seeing you in a class very soon.

 

Teachers

Hayley Richardson  (Drama Teacher) BA Hons Degree
After graduating from Mountview Theatre Arts with her second degree, Hayley made her West End debut playing the lead, 'Polly' in Crazy For You at the London Palladium, She then went on to be a guest vocalist at Her Majesty's Theatre and has played Snow White, among other Panto Princesses, in various Theatres in the UK!). She also played ‘Liz’ in High Society, where she was runner up Best Actress.


Other credits include: ‘Barbara’ The York Realist (Jackson’s Lane), ‘Woman One’ I Love You, You’re Perfect Now Change! (Canal Café Theatre), ‘Woman One’ Songs For A New World (Battersea Barge), ‘Christine’ in Phantom of the Opera at the AFIKIM Ball (Alexandra Palace), ‘Lucy’ Jack and the Beanstalk, ‘Ursula’ in Much Ado about Nothing (UK tour), and most recently, ‘Susan’ in Tick, Tick…Boom! At the Pinewood Theatre. She also played the lead, ‘Jane’ in Yoghurt with Cupsogue Pictures, and workshopped The Tempest with the RSC in conjunction with the CDS.


Hayley has been teaching Dance, Drama and Singing at a variety of schools, colleges and youth groups since 1997, and has completed the IDTA dance syllabus in freestyle, jazz, tap, modern and ballet, training to her Associate Teachers Certificate.


Some of Hayley’s students have gone on to perform in shows such as "Miss Saigon" & “The Lion King”, CBBC programmes, Eastenders  and some have modelling contracts. Hayley loves teaching at Harmony’s and is so proud of every single one of her students and the progress they continue to make.

Emma Craig (Dance Teacher)- A.B.A.T.D.
Emma joined the school in 2007 and has been a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher. She trained in Huntingdon from the age of 4. After years of training, sitting exams and performing in shows she got her 1st professional job as a dancer touring with a circus company in Germany. Then in 2002 she worked as lead dancer at Disneyland resort Paris. She also played various Disney characters like Cinderella performing in the daily parades. She has danced throughout the UK, Europe and in Thailand in top shows and pantomimes, followed by cruising around the Mediterranean. Back in the UK she worked at Wicksteed Park as a dancer / Entertainer, while taking her teaching qualifications with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing. Emma's passion in life is her dancing, so as well as teaching at this school she also trains other dancers in Peterborough and surrounding areas as well running her own school in Huntingdon. Emma assists in all of the Friday classes. She brings a great deal of energy and enthusiasm into her classes, with a heart of gold.

Eloise Markham (Dance Teacher) I.S.T.D (DDI) & Diploma in Dance/Musical Theatre
Eloise trained at the prestigious Urdang Academy London, with a full scholarship, where she graduated with a Diploma in Professional Dance & Musical Theatre. Eloise from a very young age excelled in dance and Musical Theatre, regularly bagging herself a place in The All England Dance Finals. Eloise has performed in many professional pantomimes, corporate events, TV adverts for Iceland, the Victor Frankenstein Film, Maria in West Side Story, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth and Frency in Grease. She dedicates her life now to teaching and training kids to phenomenal high standards. She regularly choreographs winning pieces for dance competitions & festivals. Eloise loves teaching at Harmonys and is a dedicated member of the team.

Tom Gribby - (Singing Teacher) Duploma in Musical Theatre/Dance and Qualified Singing Coach
Tom is currently appearing as Lead Vocalist in the UK Tour of "Bring It All Back - The Ultimate 90s Show". Credits include THEATRE: Swing in "Summer Dreaming", "An Evening of Dirty Dancing" and "BoyzLife" UK Tours for "Stage Acts Entertainment", Freddie Flunkeltrumpet and Dance Captain in "Cinderella" (Solihull Arts Complex), Brad in "Hairspray" (Gordon Craig, Stevenage), Soloist and Compere in "Guys Or Dolls (The Cabaret)" (Battersea Barge), Ensemble in "Fame The Musical" (Gordon Craig, Stevenage), Geoffrey in "Go & Play Further Up Your Own End" (UK Tour), Ensemble / King Rat in "Dick Whittington" (Solihull Arts Complex), Lead Vocalist in "High School Rocks" (UK Tour), Swing in "42nd Street" (Hexagon Theatre Reading), Dance Captain, Ensemble and Mike, on several occasions, in "A Chorus Line" (Hong Kong) and Dance Captain in "Plunder The Pyramids" for Underwraps Events. TV & FILM: Choralist with the London Metropolitan Choir in the recent "3 Mobile 0800-Singing Dictionary" TV adverts, Mascot in "NFL Superbowl Ident" (Channel 4), Featured dancer in "London Dreams", "Aaja Nachle" and "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna" (Bollywood) and "Bustamove" (MTV). Choreography credits include "Santaphrenia: A New Musical" (Leicester Square Theatre, West End), which achieved a sell-out limited run and rave reviews, "Spotlight on the Musicals with Faye Tozer" (UK Tour), "Mercedes Benz E Class Worldwide Launch" with America's Got Talent tappers All That! (Hong Kong), "Jack & The Beanstalk" (Brighton) and "West End Stage Showcase" (London). He has been a resident and guest teacher at Redroofs Theatre School (London), Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, Millennium Performing Arts (London), Pineapple Dance Studios, Infinity Dance Studios (Hong Kong) and Guildford School of Acting (London). As well as appearing on the panels and adjudicating for many vocational college entry auditions and The Stage Scholarship auditions, he also jointly runs Northbridge Talent Agency for children, with three clients in "Matilda: The Musical" and one in "Gypsy", West End.
